Many spearfishers prefer to separately weight their legs around the ankles with specific weights to compensate for excess buoyancy in the legs of a neoprene wetsuit. This is particularly important for quiet swimming near the surface with long fins. They are filled with small lead balls and equipped with quick-release buckles on straps that can be adjusted.
The main advantage of these weights is their softness; they can gently wrap around the spearfisher’s ankle without causing injury or chafing, especially around the ankle bones. Additionally, in the event of an accidental impact, such as dropping the weight on one’s foot, it causes less harm compared to solid lead weights.
Scorpena soft ankle weights are produced and sold in pairs, weighing either 500 grams, 750 grams, or 1 kilogram each.Noliktavā 15 prece/-es
